Model Irrigation District No. 18’s potable water system, currently consists of about 40 miles of pipe, 2-elevated storage tanks (250,000 gallons and 350,000 gallons), and 6 source wells with a pumping capacity of 9,950 gpm. The District had about 100 services in 1950, and now we have 2,500. Since 1998, the district has grown at the rate of about 40 new homes per year. In 2000, it gained one new high school.
